WHAT’S GOING ON EVERYONE!!! This month represents another exciting time at “AGAPE” because we are getting to know the community and the community is getting to know us. I am EXCITED to see you and pray that something is said and done that will encourage you to come back and invite someone to come with you.
June is a very busy month for everyone. With graduations, weddings, proms, people moving, kids getting out of school, and so many more activities that sometimes the hustle and bustle of life can get too much for us. While all of these extra activities are taking place we still have to attend church, take care of the family, pay bills, eat, and try to find sleep somewhere. Beloved let us remember that in all that we do we should never be too busy for God. You are not Superman or Superwoman and you cannot save the world in one hour or even one day. Take time to have prayer with God and develop a relationship with him so that this world doesn’t consume you. Once you develop a relationship with God, then go out and enjoy life. The bible says, “The Joy of the Lord is my Strength.” In order for you to have joy in the Lord you must know the Lord. All of those other activities should always should be secondary and God should be primary in your life. If you want to be successful rely on the strength of God to see you through. Rely on the Word of God to give you guidance on how your life should be governed. GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT HE WANTS YOU TO ENJOY LIFE!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH THAT I DON’T MIND TAKING TIME TO SHOW MY LOVE AND GRATITUDE TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! So enjoy life, but don’t be consumed by the activities of this world. The bible says, in 1st John 2:15 that, “Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
In speaking of the Father, the 3rd Sunday of this month is Father’s Day. I am so honored and privileged that God has allowed me to be a Father and a Godfather. I don’t take this responsibility lightly and I love my kids wholeheartedly. They may get on my nerves at times, but I know that I wasn’t perfect either as a child so that allowed me to develop some grace and mercy for them. LOL!!! I also want to acknowledge my dad, Dea. Charlie R. Jackson who has shown me what it takes to be a man. Also Rev. Dr. Bernard W. Savage for being my spiritual father and always taking time to talk to me about anything and giving me guidance. I love you all and God Bless everyone this month!!!
